Let’s Get You Streaming!

Alright you really wanna get on your stream game. But don’t know what you need? I made a list of items that have been researched and check so you can get started!

The Essentials (Audio)

There are a couple things you may need when it comes to audio. But again all depends on your set up. If your planning to stream directly from your console you can just use your headset. But if your planning to stream via capture device then you might need two mics. One for the chat stream, and one for your game to chat with teammates.

The number one thing I gotta put out there is audio. Having a mic is essential to talking to your chat. It is one of the most basic and yet most essential piece in communicating with your chat. I have listed the Yeti as the first one at roughly $120. But worth the investment. If you just want to get things on the roll you can also get away with this:

Fifine USB Microphone

This little thing works pretty well for the price. I use this one on my PS4 for game chat, and I use a separate mic for my stream chat. Your also maybe wanna get this mic stand…

NEUMA Professional Micrphone Stand https://amzn.to/2KzjMRl

This stand is great, but you might not need it. It all depends on your set up.

Video Capture

If you plan on streaming away from your consoles native stream settings and you want to capture via PC there are two highly recommended items.

Elgato Game Capture HD 60S

This is best used if you are streaming from a laptop or if you need to stream on the go. You do need a capaiable PC or laptop with USB 3, and always meet above the system requirements for this. You should have at least  PC: Windows 10 (64-bit) 4th generation quad‑core Intel Core i5 CPU (i5-4xxx or comparable) Intel HD or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 series graphics (or better) 4 GB RAM, built-in USB 3.0 port Internet connection – Technical Specifications Interface: USB 3.0 Input: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xb.

Elgato Game Capture HD60Pro

I use this personally because my set up is built in a PC. It has some slight performance advantages compared to the HD60S but over all no complaints. Just wish it was mobile for me to bring around. Again go above the specs. System requirements include:

Windows: • Windows 10 (64-bit) • 4th generation quad-core Intel Core i5 CPU (i5-4xxx or comparable) • Intel HD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 series or VCE 3.x compatible AMD graphics (or better) • 4 GB RAM, built-in USB 3.x port • Internet connection

Mac: • macOS Sierra 10.12 or later • 4th generation quad-core Intel Core i5 CPU (i5-4xxx or comparable) • Graphics: Dedicated GPU (AMD or nVIDIA) • 4 GB RAM, built-in USB 3.x port • Internet connection

I’ll be updating this with new items when available, and if I find a recommended item to add.
